Return, Exchange & Refund Policy

At The House of Karma, every piece is carefully prepared and checked before dispatch. We want your jewellery to reach you in the condition and design you expected.
This policy explains our return, exchange, and refund process.
Return Eligibility
Return requests must be raised within 7 days from the date of delivery.
Returns are accepted only where:

The product received is damaged.

The product received is incorrect or different from the product ordered.
We do not accept returns or exchanges due to a change of mind, personal preference, or where a customer no longer wishes to keep the product.
This policy does not limit any rights available to consumers under applicable law.
Damaged Products
If you receive a damaged product, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at hello@thehouseofkarma.in.
For damaged product claims, an unboxing video is required to support verification of the condition of the product at the time the package was opened.
The video should clearly show the sealed package being opened and the damaged product.
Once the claim is reviewed and approved, you may choose between:

A replacement of the product, subject to availability; or
-
A refund of the eligible amount.
Where required by applicable consumer law, claims will be considered based on the available facts and evidence notwithstanding the absence of an unboxing video.
Wrong Product Received
If you receive a product different from the product ordered, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.
An unboxing video is required to support verification of wrong product claims.
Once the claim is reviewed and approved, you may choose between:

A replacement with the correct product, subject to availability; or
-
A refund of the eligible amount.
Earrings and Hygiene
For hygiene reasons, earrings are non-returnable and non-exchangeable.
However, this restriction does not apply where the earrings received are damaged, incorrect, or otherwise eligible for return under applicable consumer law.
Return Condition
Products approved for return must be returned in their original condition, together with the original packaging, tags, accessories, and accompanying items, where applicable.
Products must not be worn, altered, intentionally damaged, or otherwise misused.
We reserve the right to review the returned product before approving a refund or replacement.
Return Shipping Charges
For an approved claim involving a damaged or wrong product, The House of Karma will arrange or bear the reasonable return shipping cost in accordance with the return instructions provided by our customer care team.
Please do not independently return a product without contacting us first.
Unauthorised or unapproved returns may not be accepted.
Exchange and Replacement
Exchanges or replacements are available only for approved damaged or wrong product claims.
Replacement products are subject to stock availability.
If the requested replacement is unavailable, the customer may choose an eligible refund.
Refund Process
Once the returned product is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the status of your refund.
Approved refunds will generally be initiated within 5–7 business days after inspection.
For prepaid orders, refunds will be processed to the original payment method used while placing the order.
The time taken for the refunded amount to appear in your account may vary depending on your bank, card issuer, UPI provider, or payment service provider.
Cash on Delivery Refunds
For eligible Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, approved refunds will be processed through UPI.
Customers will be required to provide accurate UPI details for the refund.
The House of Karma will not be responsible for delays or failed refunds caused by incorrect payment details provided by the customer.
International Orders
Returns for international orders are accepted only where:

The product received is damaged; or
-
The product received is incorrect.
International return requests must be raised within 7 days of delivery.
Customers should contact us before shipping an international return. Return instructions will be provided after the claim has been reviewed.
Any applicable customs procedures, documentation, or shipping arrangements will be communicated based on the destination and circumstances of the return.
Products Not Eligible for Return or Exchange
Unless required under applicable law, we do not accept returns or exchanges for:

Change of mind or personal preference.

Products that have been worn, used, or altered.

Products damaged due to misuse or improper handling.

Damage caused by exposure to water, perfume, chemicals, cosmetics, or improper storage.

Normal wear and tear.

Earrings returned solely due to personal preference or hygiene-related reasons.

Claims raised after the applicable 7-day return request period.
How to Raise a Return or Exchange Request
To request a return, replacement, or refund, email us at hello@thehouseofkarma.in within 7 days of delivery.
Please include:

Your full name.

Order number.

Registered email address or phone number.

Reason for the request.

Clear photographs of the product and packaging.

Unboxing video for damaged or wrong product claims.
